An aged girl had simply returned to her residence from a night church service when she was startled by an intruder.
She caught the burglar red-handed, and yelled, “Cease! Acts 2:38 (that means, repent and be baptized…)!”
The burglar stopped lifeless in his tracks.
The lady then calmly referred to as the police and defined what she had accomplished.
Because the officer cuffed the burglar, he requested, “Why did you simply stand there? All of the previous woman did was yell a scripture to you.”
“Scripture?” replied the burglar, “I believed she stated she had an axe and two 38’s!”
